1st Anniversary Trip

Len and I took a really fast trip over the weekend to Green Bay WI and Door County WI. Its about 5 hours from the cities here. Door county is like a finger that sticks into Lake Michigan. It takes maybe an hour or so to get to the top from Green Bay, and only a half hour across. It has a bay that cuts through a town called Sturgeon Bay all the way through, so that Door county is like an island. There is a bunch of islands around Door County that some have resorts, state parks, and lighthouses on...which you can find all inland as well. Here's a bunch of pics of our little adventure!!

First off....Lambeau Field in Green Bay..

Tour..we got to see a suite that rents out for $30,000 for 50 people.
Then saw the hall where the players run out..they turned on loud cheering on speakers while we as tourists ran down the hall as the garage door opened...fun!!
Our view from our resort room..
This is called a fish boil. They put fish (Michigan whitefish), potatoes, sweet onions in boiling water. this is where they add the diesel fuel...
And it gets so hot that the pot boils over. its to get rid of the residue and oil.

YUM YUM YUM!!! This gets 5 stars out of 5!!!!

Sunset on Lake Michigan
Cave Point. The waves splash water up 20 feet or so...

Stillwater visit

Len and I spent this past beautiful Saturday in Stillwater. It's an awesome town with awesome views of the St. Croix River. We pretty much walked all over downtown into nearly every store. The only thing we bought was lunch at a yummy hamburger/malt shop, a couple ice tea's at a coffee shop, a cave tour, and a little bag of candy from a quaint little candy store. But boy, some of those things in the stores were pretty tempting..ESPECIALLY the swinging outdoor chair with a little footrest that swings along with ya. Maybe....we'll get one......someday:) And OH the cruise boats. They looked tempting too..

Opps maybe I should have started off by saying friday night we tried having a picnic in town at a park..but the misquitoes thought otherwise. we had to chow our food really fast. I still got bit--but only once:) Len lucked out! Guess I have the sweeter blood. hahha..jk. (thats sparkling apple cider...)

Ok here's the Stillwater Pics:)

This is the stillwater lift bridge..

This car/boat we saw in the water..then later saw driving down main street....yeah....

The candy store:)

These next two pics are of houses that i thought looked really cool and dream like.. maybe..someday...

Len said the these roads have the same name as in his hometown (CA) near his parents home and intersect with each other too!
