Duluth trip

Dultuh is about 3 hours north of the cities, on the edge of lake superior, which is the largest, deepest, and coldest lake in the world and its all fresh water! Its connected to a bunch of lakes called the great lakes which all lead out to the Alantic Ocean. Ships come in from the ocean all the way to Duluth..which i think is amazing to be in Duluth looking at ships that may have came all the way across the ocean! There have been several shipwrecks because of bad weather over the years. Many ships lay on the bottom of the lake. Today's computers, and gps help them guide the ships and know just what lies ahead.

Overlook of Duluth and Lake Superior from a tall tower on a hill! The bridge in the picture is called a lift bridge, which cars go over till a ship or sailboat need to go through and an alarm goes off and it raises up after the cars are off and pedestrians. we took a boat cruise later and went under it, it wasn't that exciting..except to see ships in the water up close..that was neat!

We got a tour of a ship parked on shore..this one is opened as a museum. i've been there before but it had been about 20 years!
we then headed farther north to a state park that has MN's tallest waterfall. dustin swam right up to the falls!

an overlook, its the highest cliff on lake superior!
